Pokemon GO

Jumping on the Pokémon GO wagon here. I actually don't play the game and haven't played either the trading card game or the video games, but I am familiar enough with the franchise to add enough easter eggs for the eager.

Pokémon GO is an iOS/Android augmented reality mobile game that has taken much of the world by storm; a lot of people and their boss is playing this game, leaving those who don't quite perplexed. I was inspired from a photo meme about people talking poignant political issues (whether they talk about them politely or rationally is besides the point; this is the Internet we are talking about) and then someone chimes in with some wry quip about Pokémon GO.

I didn't actually name drop any of the real-world issues that inspired the tag cloud (I drew them from both local and international news issues) but used their central themes to be more relatable to an international audience. Many similar if localized events share the same underlying reasons or are part of sometimes disturbing worldwide trends. If you figured out a few, leave a statement in the comments at your own risk. The size and arrangement of the text in the tag cloud is done purely for optical purposes (specifically, to make them all fit in the page) and has nothing to do with how much I value an actual issue in real life.
